"To the dolphin alone, nature has given that which the best philosophers seek: Friendship for no advantage. Though it has no need of help from any man, it is a genial friend to all and has helped mankind." ~ Plutarch

And the world rejoiced =)
I went back to the woods at the break of dawn in search of the missing keys (ok, so I went out there to work, but while I was working, I looked for the keys), and to my great surprise and delight, I found them!!! The reason this was especially wonderful (and I forgot to mention this in my last post) was thatI had borrowed the keys from one of the guys on the team, and it was his car that we left abandonned on the side of the road. I was supposed to return the keys to him today, and was thrilled that I actually had keys to return when the time came. Unfortunately, someone who found out about my little incident had already told him what happened, and so he informed me that he would not be lending his car to me in the future (I think he was kidding, though). Oh, and by the way, our mission was successfully completed. =P

I should really be sleeping right now...
Considering I have to be up in five hours! But I just got back from such a crazy escapade, I HAVE to write about it...
The only other coworker who is my age (and female) wanted to go out to the woods to scope out the site of our mission tomorow, so I volunteered to join her. I drove, and when we arrived at our destination, I put my room key, the car keys, and my nextel in my pants pockets. We tramped about the woods in the pitch black and then headed back to the car. Upon reaching the car, I realize the car keys are no longer in my pocket. Our first move was to back track and try to find the keys, but it did not take long to apprehend the fact that finding the keys in that kind of darkness was outside the realm of possibility. The second option was to call one of the guys on our team to come pick us up. We were able to reach one and he and another guy drove the half hour to come pick us up... meanwhile, out in the woods, we were being super stealth, awaiting the arrival of our knights in shining armour.
They made fun of me (of course), but it's not like I didn't TOTALLY deserve it (I can only imagine what I will hear from the rest of the class). So, now I owe these two guys BIG TIME!
In any case, it made for a very interesting (and memorable) evening. =)

Confessions of a wannabe princess
Ok, so the first week was rough, but since then I have adjusted to having strangers rearrange my things. I think I could really get used to not having to ever make my bed again... or even better, not having to clean the bathroom, or make my own coffee in the morning! Yeah, I was pretty much made for this life! =) I don't really mind going out to eat for every meal anymore either (it did take a little getting used to, but I'm liking the no cooking, no dishes thing). I don't even have to wash the dishes that I use in my room! Did I mention the king size bed?! It is the most comfortable thing on the face of the earth!!! The matress had no springs, and the sheets and comforter are all white cotton (SOOOO soft!!!). This is the life! It's too bad it is only going to last for another few weeks. Then my carriage will turn into a pumpkin, and it's back to reality for this princess... =(
