On Today's Hit-list

  • DELDOT - for shutting down 3 lanes of traffic to do roadwork the day before Thanksgiving
  • NMCI - for kicking me off and deleting my emails
  • Joyce Motors - for not passing my car, citing a need for new windshield wipers - I still disagree!
  • EZ-Pass - for invalidating my tag a week before Thanksgiving and not bothering to inform me
  • Chase - for being their stupid Chase selves

In general, I would say vehicle inspectors are just full of themselves and usually are trying to pull a fast one on people. However, as long as it was just the wiper blades he was concerned with, yes, strictly speaking, those should probably be replaced every twelve or eighteen months so you get a good clean streak-free wipe every time. And considering everything it is in their power to reject a car for, a three dollar set of blades is a pretty good deal, unless your reinspections are expensive.
